Penn-Trafford Stays Perfect With 20-13 Win Over Franklin Regional 

Murrysville, Pa. - Penn-Trafford and Franklin Regional slugged it out with their running games and defense all night, but it was the Warriors who prevailed 20-13 in the annual battle of neighboring Class 5A school districts at Franklin Regional's Panther Stadium.  Franklin Regional struck first, going up 7-0 on a Stephen Johns 2-yard touchdown run. Penn-Trafford answered as quarterback Cam Laffoon called his own number to tie the game at 7-7.  The Warriors scored again before halftime on John Gay's 17-yard reception from Laffoon, but the Panthers blocked the extra point to make it 13-7. Franklin Regional tied the game in the second half following a pair of Dom DiFalco field goals, but the Warriors regained the lead for good as John Gay broke off a 48-yard touchdown for the game winning score.  Penn-Trafford raised their record to 7-0, while the Panthers drop to 4-2 on the season.
