Greensburg Salem's Luke Sikora wins 2026 WCCA Boys Golf Championship

Greensburg Salem junior Luke Sikora hit paydirt in his third attempt at a Westmoreland County Coaches Association Boys Golf Championship, shooting a 3-under-par 69 to win the 2026 individual title on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Latrobe Elks Golf Club. Sikora followed up an eagle on the 15th hole with a birdie on 16, then closed with a pair of pars to hold off a charging Brady Jankowski of Kiski Area who finished second at 2-under-par 70.

Jaxon Makrevski of Greater Latrobe finished third, winning a scorecard playoff over Franklin Regional's Jacob Pozek, both at 75. Rounding out the medalists were Nate Meeder of Greater Latrobe (76), Austyn Gross of Mt. Pleasant (76), Hayden Henry of Greensburg Salem (77), Franklin Regional teammates Reid Farberow (75) and Christian Kallen (75), and Kiski Area's Tytan Logero (75).

In the team championship battle, Greater Latrobe and Kiski Area were tied at 394 strokes after completion of regulation play. Greater Latrobe won a one-hole team playoff to claim the Class AAA team championship. Mount Pleasant was the Class AA team champion with a score of 421.

Due to severe storms throughout Westmoreland County the night before, many schools that had planned to attend had to withdraw the morning of the tournament. Schools that participated were Belle Vernon Area, Burrell, Franklin Regional, Greater Latrobe, Greensburg Salem, Jeannette, Kiski Area, Mount Pleasant, Southmoreland, and Valley.
