Latrobe Boys Hoops Upset Previously Unbeaten Penn Hills 80-66

On a night when traffic on Route 30 was slowed to a crawl by poor weather, Latrobe and visiting Penn Hills were anything but slow on the basketball court. A first half that had more than its share of turnovers and fast-break buckets sent unbeaten Penn Hills into their locker room with a slim 39-36 lead. But the Latrobe Wildcats clawed their way into the lead midway through the third quarter and slowly pulled away from the Indians for a 80-66 victory. Latrobe's Bryce Butler led all scoring with 27. Other Wildcats in double figures were Reed Fenton with 16, Anthony Fannie with 15, Jason Armstrong with 12, and Marcus Dudzenski added 10. Cam Wiley topped the Indians with 21 as Corey Fulton added 14, Daivon Stephens with 11, and Tyree Spencer with 10.
 

The loss was the first of the season for Penn Hills who drop to 6-1 in section play, 16-1 overall. Latrobe improves to 5-2 in section, 10-4 overall.
