Fox Chapel runs away from Connellsville 45-15 on Connellsville's homecoming night at Falcon Stadium.

Fox Chapel sophomore running back Sam Brown scored four running touchdowns as the visiting Foxes ran away from the Falcons with a 45-15 victory in their WPIAL Class 5A non-conference game at Connellsville’s Falcon Stadium. Neither team managed to score any points until 2:54 in the first quarter when Fox Chapel running back Sam Brown dove into the end zone for the first score of the game. The Foxes took a 7-0 lead into the 2nd quarter when Fox Chapel running back Timothy Johnston scored on a touchdown run at 9:29. The foxes failed to get the extra point and the score was 13-0. Connellsville sophomore kicker Gage Gillott got the Falcons on the scoreboard when he kicked a 22-yard field goal at 5:34 of the second quarter making the score 13-3. Fox Chapel managed to score again a little over a minute later when quarterback Shane Susnak found wide receiver Korey Simmons on a 47-yard touchdown pass increasing the Foxes lead to 19-3.Brown then scored on a short run with seconds to go in the opening half making the score 25-3. That was the score at halftime. Connellsville crowned their two homecoming queens Elli Cook from the High School and Emily Velez from the C.A.C.TC. during the halftime intermission. Fox Chapel scored two more touchdowns during the third quarter. Brown added his third touchdown of the game on a 4-yard run and then quarterback Shane Susnak threw his second touchdown of the game when he found tight end Graham Childs on a 56-yard pass. Connellsville senior returner Blake Lancaster answered with an 89-yard kick return for a touchdown and the score was 38-10 when the third quarter came to a close. Fox Chapel's Brown then added a touchdown when he scored for the fourth time of the night with a little over 8 minutes left in the game. Connellsville added a late touchdown by David Marchewka who scored from 46 yards out making the final score 45-15. Fox Chapel improved to 1-3 in conference play and 2-5 overall. With Connellsville's loss they have the exact same record as the foxes.
