Girls Soccer - Franklin Regional vs Plum

Franklin Regional Beats Plum 2-1 in Girls Soccer Non-Conference Saturday Matinee  

Franklin Regional and Plum squared off in a non-conference Saturday afternoon matinee girls soccer game on a chilly Saturday, Oct. 13, at Franklin Regional's Panther Stadium. 

The Lady Mustangs were first on the board when sophomore Gina Proviano floated a free kick over the outstretched arm of Franklin Regional goalkeeper Tiffany Jolayemi with 18:35 left to play in the first half. Franklin Regional evened the score when junior Bella Larese punched in a close range shot from amidst a gaggle of bodies in front of the Plum net with 11:08 remaining in the half. Victoria Rothrauff broke the deadlock when her shot caught Plum goalkeeper Alyson Bryner at a bad angle with 3:55 to play before intermission. That goal, the final goal of the half, was also the final goal of the game as both teams went scoreless on the final 40 minute period.

The win improves the Lady Panthers' record to 7-7-2 overall. Plum drops to 11-5-0 overall.
