Franklin Regional Girls Grab First Section Win 61-49 Over Plum

Plum came out looking to make an early statement in their conference battle with neighbor Franklin Regional. The Lady Mustangs jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead on the Lady Panthers in the early minutes, but Franklin Regional fought right back, recovering to take a 9-point end of the first quarter margin, then matched the Plum point total in two of the remaining three periods, to beat the Lady Mustangs 61-49 on Monday, December 17, at Franklin Regional.

Franklin Regional senior Jordan Yaniga led all scoring with 20 points, as Cali Konek and Alex Reitz each added 10 for the Lady Panthers. Plum was lead by Kennedie Montue's 18 points, with teammate Kelsie Zik pitching in for 15. 

Franklin Regional's overall record improves to 3-2 overall, 1-1 in Class 5A Section 2. Plum's record goes to 1-4 overall, 0-1 in section play.
