2019 WCCA Wrestling - Day 2

Kiski Area Wins 4th Straight Team Title, Franklin Regional's Colton Camacho 4-Time Champion at WCCA Wrestling Championships

Saturday, January 5 was a night of "4s" at the 65th Annual Westmoreland County Coaches Association Wrestling Championships at Norwin High School. Kiski Area continued their recent domination of the team title, claiming their fourth championship trophy in a row. The 2019 WCCA wrestling team championship title is their twelfth and elevates the Cavaliers into a tie with Greater Latrobe and Greensburg Salem for the most team championships in the history of the event, which was first contested in 1954. Hempfield claimed the team runner-up trophy.

The number four was good to Franklin Regional's Colton Camacho too, as he became the 13th wrestler in tournament history to win four individual championships with his victory at 126 lbs. Camacho joins a club that includes former Franklin Regional standouts Josh Shields, Josh Maruca, and Nico Megaludis as four-time champs.

A list of this year's champions is below, followed by select photos from the finals along with podium photos of individual medalists and teams. You can view full results from the tournament here - 2019 WCCA Championships on FloArena
