Ligonier Valley Pours It On Berlin Brothersvalley to Win Appalachian Bowl 41-0

Ligonier, Pa. - Berlin Brothersvalley came in to Ligonier's Weller Field unbeaten, just as their Appalachian Bowl opponent Ligonier Valley was, but they left wet, muddy, and with one in the "L" column as Ligonier Valley showed no mercy in a 41-0 victory on their home turf. The outcome of the game, played in a constant driving cold rain, swung quickly to Ligonier Valley's favor with two rushing and one receiving touchdown by senior Jackson Daugherty. Aaron Sheeder's 4-yard touchdown reception from John Caldwell gave the Rams a 28-0 halftime lead. Rob Ray returned a third quarter interception for a touchdown and Aaron Sheeder closed out the scoring with a 15-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. Ligonier Valley, 10-0 on the season, begins PIAA District 6 playoff action Friday at home against West Shamokin.
