With the official launch of WesternPAsports.com, Westmoreland County high school sports fans can play a role in determining which games we will cover on the opening Friday night of action on August 25. Week Zero of the WPIAL schedule will find some teams opting to play a scrimmage game while others have scheduled a regular game with a non-conference opponent or traditional rival. 

Three local matchups of neighboring rivals headline the Westmoreland County schedule, and we are going to let fans determine which two games Barry and Ken will cover. Fans can vote via twitter poll for either Greensburg Salem at Hempfield, Latrobe at Derry, or Penn-Trafford at Norwin. The two games that receive the most votes will have the honor of being the first two official games to have photo galleries posted on our site.  To cast your vote, go to @westernpasports, vote for the game you want to see covered, and click to follow our Twitter account while you are there.
