Penn-Trafford Field Hockey Falls 7-0 to Mt. Lebanon

Penn-Trafford's field hockey team had a devil of a time with visiting Mt. Lebanon as they fell to the Lady Blue Devils 7-0 in an afternoon match at Warrior Stadium on Wednesday, October 10, 2018.

Neither team was able to score early, until Mt. Lebanon's Emilia Krakora put a shot past Lady Warriors goalie Samantha Doherty with 8:59 remaining in the first half. Grace Meyer quickly added another Blue Devils' goal just over two minutes later. Georgia Eson rounded out the first half scoring on a goal only 19 seconds left to play before intermission.

After the goalies switched ends of the field, Penn-Trafford was still unable to find the net despite several good scoring chances in the second half. Pfeifer Hill got her name on the Blue Devils scoresheet less than 5 minutes into the second half, and Meredith Kelly added her name too with 10 minutes remaining to play. Mt. Lebanon's final two goals came from Grace Meyer, her second, and Caroline Kenney had the final goal of the game.

Senior Noel Awad started in goal and played most of the game for Mt Lebanon, with junior Katie Pituch minding the net for the final 4- 1/2 minutes.
