Westmoreland County Coaches Association Holds 2018 Football Showcase

The Westmoreland County Coaches Association held there 2018 Football Showcase at Hempfield's Spartan Stadium on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Over a hundred underclassmen from Westmoreland County high school football teams participated in the annual event designed to create exposure and show their skills to area college football coaches. Participants had their height and weight measured before participating in a battery of standard tests, such as 40 yard dash, pro shuttle, standing broad jump, and bench press. Athletes also participated in position specific workouts and one-on-one offense vs defense drills. A number of college football coaches were in attendance to observe the athletes in action throughout the day.
