Penn-Trafford Claims Dual Gold at 2019 WCCA Diving Championships

Penn-Trafford opened the 2019 Westmoreland County Coaches Association Swimming and Diving Championship Meet with a big splash, taking the top spot on both the girls and boys podium in the diving events held Friday, January 25, 2019 at Derry Area High School.

Strong performances by the Warriors' Paige Kalik in the girls event and Logan Sherwin for the boys led to gold medals for both. Greater Latrobe claimed the next two places in the girls event, as Jordyn Miller and Lauren Bisignani finished second and third. Franklin Regional's Mason Fishell, the 2018 boys champion, finished in the runner-up spot with Hempfield's Grant Drexler in third. The meet continues with the swimming championships on Saturday, January 26. The first event begins at 10 AM. We'll have photos and full results online tomorrow evening, after the conclusion of the meet.
