Coaches Talk Football at Westmoreland Sports Network's Annual Kickoff Show

Thirteen Westmoreland County football coaches spent their Sunday evening talking X's and O's during Westmoreland Sports Network's annual football kickoff broadcast, live from Primanti Bros. in Greensburg on August 18. The coaches each had an opportunity to review last season, talk about this year's key players and training camp developments, and look ahead to the upcoming season while being interviewed by members of the WSN broadcast team.

Coaches participating (in order of appearance) were Dave Brozeski (Norwin), Rich Bowen (Hempfield), Roy Hall (Jeannette), Bret Colbert (Greensburg Central Catholic), Tim Sweeney (Derry), Scott Wood (Yough), Jason Fazekas (Mt. Pleasant), Dave Keefer (Southmoreland), Dave Keefer (Greensburg Salem), John Ruane (Penn-Trafford), Jason Marucco (Latrobe), Greg Botta (Franklin Regional), and Seton Hill University's new head coach Dan Day.

A reminder, voting in the 3rd annual Western PA Sports Week Zero football Twitter poll is open until 4 PM Wednesday, August 21. The contest gives fans the opportunity to select which two local games will receive our featured website and social media coverage on Friday, August 23. There are two different polls to vote on, one of games between larger enrollment schools and one of games between smaller schools. Games in the large school bracket are Norwin at Penn-Trafford, Greensburg Salem at Hempfield, and Latrobe at Derry Area. The small school bracket consists of Southmoreland at Mt. Pleasant, Burrell at Valley, and Monessen at Greensburg Central Catholic. As in the past, our Week Zero contest only includes games between pairs of Westmoreland County schools.
