Norwin Wins 2019 WCCA 7-on-7 Championship

Norwin coupled the accuracy of quarterback Jack Salopek's cannon arm with a strong performance by their defense to go undefeated in pool play, then beat Penn-Trafford 24-13 in the championship game to claim their first Westmoreland County Coaches Association 7-on-7 championship at Greater Latrobe's Rossi Field. Salopek wasn't intercepted all day yet threw for 13 touchdowns in guiding the Knights to the title.

Norwin advanced to the championship game after going 5-0 in pool play in the "B" bracket. Defending champ Penn-Trafford entered the championship game after winning the tiebreaker over Hempfield in the "A" bracket, with both teams 5-0 in pool play. Franklin Regional and Kiski Area suffered only one loss in pool play, with Kiski's coming on a forfeit when the team missed the start of their opening game after bus transportation problems. Monessen was scheduled to participate but was forced to withdraw when last-minute equipment issues with their helmets caused safety concerns.
