Girls Soccer - Greensburg Salem vs Trinity
Trinity defeats Greensburg Salem 3-1 in their Girls Soccer match Trinity junior forward Alyssa Clutter scored two first period goals to lead the visiting Hillers past the Golden Lions in their WPIAL Class 3A Section 2 match under the lights at Offutt Field in Greensburg on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020. Trinity freshman goalkeeper Ruby Morgan and her defenders were stellar keeping the Golden Lions off the scoreboard in the first period of play. Greensburg Salem junior goalkeeper Jordyn Anderson minded the net for the Golden Lions. Clutter scored the first of her two first half goals at the 14:23 mark and then added a second at 11:38. The Hillers took a 2-0 lead into halftime. Greensburg Salem junior forward Kylie Smith launched a shot past Morgan to get the Golden Lions on the board at 9:24 in the second half, and the home team cut the lead in half. The Hillers led the contest 2-1 until Trinity sophomore Courtney Lowe added a score at the 6:21 mark of the second period making the score 3-1. Trinity improved to 4-0 on the season with the 3-1 win.
