Freeport surges back to steal a 13-12 overtime victory over Greensburg Central Catholic in their WPIAL Boys Lacrosse game at GCC.

Freeport junior Garrett Schaffhauser waited until the second half to score his first goal against Greensburg Central Catholic in their  WPIAL Boy's Lacrosse game at GCC but then was unstoppable as he scored three additional second half goals, including the game-tying goal with only seven seconds left in regulation play. As if that wasn't enough of a highlight reel half for the junior midfielder, he then scored a dramatic goal past Greensburg Central Catholic goal tender David Kratzenberg  3:15 into sudden death overtime to propel the visiting Yellow Jackets over the Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions by a score of 13-12. Freeport junior attacker Carter Dougherty added four goals and senior attacker Sean Fennell added three goals.  GCC junior attacker Tommy Erdely led all Centurian scorers with 6 goals and sophomore Sam Szweda added four goals on the night. Senior Greg Smith minded the net for Freeport and senior David Kratzenberg was in goal for GCC.
