Latrobe Boys Complete Season Sweep of Penn-Trafford with 5-1 Win

Five seems to be the magic number for the Latrobe boys soccer team this season when they play Penn-Trafford. The Wildcats put five goals on the board, including a hat trick by senior Nolan Agostoni, as they beat the Warriors 5-1 on Thursday, October 8, at Greater Latrobe High School's Rossi Field. The Wildcats matched their earlier output from a 5-0 win over Penn-Trafford on September 19 in Harrison City.

The teams played deep into the first half before Latrobe ended the stalemate with 7:07 to play on Nolan Agostoni's first goal of the night. Once the ice had been broken, the Wildcats quickly ran the score up to 3-0 on a goal from senior Ryan Banks with 6:24 on the clock, followed by Nico Lorenzi's goal with 4:44 on the first half clock. The half ended with the Wildcats on top 3-0.

Penn-Trafford put the only blemish on Wildcats keeper Tanner Sabol's night when Joseph Whipkey knocked in a goal with 31:12 to play in the second half, cutting the score to 3-1.

But Agostoni answered for the Cats only 47 second later with his second of the night. Agostoni's hat trick goal came with 14:09 left in the game as he headed a ball out of a crowd past Warriors goalkeeper Anthony Visco to put the final marker on Latrobe's 5-1 win.

Both teams are back in action on September 12, when Latrobe (6-2-0) travels to Norwin and Penn-Trafford (3-7-0) hosts Fox Chapel.
