Westmoreland Sports Network 2022 Football Kickoff Show

In a sure sign that the start of football season is just around the corner, Westmoreland Sports Network broadcast their annual Westmoreland County football kickoff show on Sunday, August 21, from the banquet room at Manor Valley Golf Course.

Fifteen Westmoreland County high school coaches and two local collegiate coaches attended the live show to preview the season with members of the WSN broadcast team.

Coaches that attended (in order of appearance) were: Jason Fazekas (Mount Pleasant Area), Matt Humbert (Belle Vernon Area), Benny Hoffer (Yough), Shawn Liotta (Burrell), Mike Arone (Derry Area), Ron Prady (Greater Latrobe), Roger Beitel (Ligonier Valley), Tom Paulone (Jeannette), John Ruane (Penn-Trafford), Mike Brown (Hempfield Area), Dave Brozeski (Norwin), Aaron Albert (Kiski Area), Dave Keefer (Greensburg Salem), Luke Getsy (Franklin Regional), Tim Bukowski (Southmoreland), Aaron Smetanka (Saint Vincent College), and Dan Day (Seton Hill University).

High school teams that have opted to play a Week Zero game will begin play on Friday, August 26, with regular season play beginning on September 2nd.
